Village Pride Award

WCHL salutes Hometown Heroes every weekday.  These are people who do extraordinary things that make our community an even better place to live.  Some of these people don't get a lot of publicity, but that's not why they do what they do in the first place.  We put the spotlight on those who go over and above the call of duty.  Along with the good folks at Performance Auto Mall in Chapel Hill we want to call attention to these wonderful people who live among us.  Hear the WCHL Village Pride Award announcements 3 times during the WCHL Morning News, and again in the middle of the day, and during the WCHL Evening News, as well.  Want to nominate someone special who deserves extra recognition?  Get in touch with Ron Stutts here at the station.
