The Durham-based publication honored multitalented star Dustin Ackley, now a member of the Seattle Mariners organization.  The Tar Heel standout received a $6 million signing bonus from Seattle, exceeded only by the bonus fellow Scott Boras client Stephen Strasburg got from the Washington Nationals.

Ackley holds the career records at UNC for batting average, hits, runs and total bases, and set a new record for hits in the College World Series with 28.  He was named All-America three times in his college career, and won the 2009 ACC Player of the Year award.
